2017 North Star Grand Prix Kick-Off Party

As many of your may already know, the North Star Grand Prix is excited to announce the 18th annual race will be held June 14-18, 2017 and will once again be on the USA Cycling Pro Road Tour.
To kick off the 2017 North Star Grand Prix, we are partnering with Lake & Irving Restaurant and Bar in Minneapolis, on Wednesday, February 15th to welcome fans and friends of the race to be social and philanthropic ahead of those June dates!  Join us from 7pm to 10pm where we will recognize our sponsors, announce the 2017 race courses, and introduce our new Executive Team* and core staffers to the cycling community.  Your attendance will get your name entered into drawings for previous year’s leader’s jerseys and other fabulous race goodies.
Lake & Irving is graciously donating a portion of the evening’s proceeds to the Grand Prix, so come on out and enjoy some delicious drinks and eats while you socialize.  While you’re there, you can also take some time to explore the many volunteer opportunities which exist within the race organization, and grab a t-shirt or two from our vintage t-shirt collection!

We encourage you to visit the event (and RSVP) on our Facebook page:  North Star Grand Prix Kick-Off Party.

We hope to see you out on the 15th!

North Star Grand Prix Executive Committee

*The North Star Grand Prix has seen many changes since our 2016 race.  One of those changes includes the implementation of a new leadership team who has assumed management responsibilities for the Grand Prix to focus on event growth. The Board of Directors for the Minnesota Bicycle Festival, Inc. (MBF), parent organization of the North Star Grand Prix, has made the following organizational changes. An executive committee consisting of Paul Merwin, Brendon Hale, Stacy Hedner, Mike O’Day, and Carlos Villalpando will lead all decisions specific to day-to-day event planning and operations for the upcoming year. As always, we will continue to consult with core volunteers for their input. Please note that MBF founder and former Executive Director David LaPorte has accepted the position of Executive Director Emeritus and will serve as the Communications Liaison.
